Italy! As soon as I cross the boarder, the air is different, the coffee tastes better, in short, I am home. No other place in the world where I’ll ever feel like that.
I have one treat for you in Rome: St. Peter’s Square in Winter, the fountain to your right, the Golden hour before sunset. And then the Blue hour. Magic. Most people have left by then, sometimes the Piazza is even deserted. Listen to the churchbells ringing the Angelus from all over town. You live in a different century.

Ooooo…how can I add to such an exhaustive and beautiful list?! You hit on so many of the reasons I love Italy. I would add:
* being that it is summer – late, late dinners outside, when everyone is wide awake and eating at midnight and taking 1 am. strolls to enjoy the only cool air of the day.
*The smell of the countryside.
*Fields of sunflowers
*The food!
*The spirit of the Italians and how they love life.
Oh, stop me before I make a whole new list!
