Mon Petit Jardin

Unfortunately, I am not lucky enough to have acres of green land and sprawling flower gardens.  That's my Mom.

Instead I have a challanging situation.  I have a small porch. And It is longer than it is wide.

We have worked hard on it, but it is no way finished.  I like to refer to it as Mon Petit Jardin.

That sounds much prettier than My Plants on the Porch, doesn't it?

I'll have a big reveal, once it is to the point where I am happy with it.

Chris would argue this will never happen, or at least not until the summer of 2015.

I scored a pair of shabby cream colored shutters for twenty bucks from a local salvage yard that will serve as a privacy screen once Chris adds hinges and rigs them to stand up.

I would argue this will never happen, or at least not until the summer of 2015.

And of course, we are still sans our café table and chairs.  I can't wait until I can sit out there with a book and drink my morning café au lait.

 In 2015.

Can’t wait to see it when its done! The sneak peak pics are very intriguing. You have some really nice pieces there! :)
My garden is in a state of transition. It didn’t get the love it so rightly deserved last summer so we are just trying to get it under control again…I eventually want to make some changes to it…just not sure what I want to do quite yet.

The sneak peek is very Provence and romantic so it looks like 2015 is closer than you think! All I have is a balcony, but it does look on to a huge park!

Would you believe it, but I actually love the word “porch”! It evokes languid hours on summer evenings, the rhythmic songs of the cicadas in the background, a milky-white moon rising in the East.
Your container garden looks very promising, the various pots and urns a delight!

I like your garden very much. Like the feel of the lavender and gray. Very peaceful and soothing. Hope you are well Robin!

Lulu~ My porch sat untouched last year for the same reason….didn’t know what to do. Take some time to think on it…it will come ;)
Joanne~ Lucky you… a balcony on an Italian park…I *so* wanna trade ;)
Merisi~ Thanks! I love how certain words can do that to you…. words are like magic that way :)
Constance~ Thanks…I wanted soothing. And I love running my fingers through my lavender, rosemary and thyme. Such aromatherapy! Now if I only had room for a bed ;)

You certainly have nice props for a romantic garden. I’m an avid gardener and although it strays from my blog I can’t resist adding pics now and again to share it with others.
Can’t wait to see your result – glad I discovered you!
