I love cemeteries, and I love Pere Lachaise. I’m with you on Chopin’s grave – it’s gorgeous. There were others I liked, but they weren’t famous people – just beautiful stonework and sculpture. That place is a maze, though. On my first visit I thought I could get by without the map (which I didn’t want to pay for). Never found most of the graves I was looking for, including Morrison’s. On the 2nd visit, I bought the map.

We loved Pere Lachaise when we were there several years ago! Could have spent many more hours than we did wandering around and taking photos.
It happened to be a bit of an overcast day when we went, so it really added to the slight feeling of shabby gloom there.
