Hello everybody! There is a new app called Visit Paris which allows you to discover Paris history, its monuments through 50 videos (2D&3D). It is really well made and not boring…You can have more information on the developpers blog : visitparsiphone.blogspot.com. Try it!

My O/H asked if wanted and iPhone, not my thing..I know they have all differenct applications, but I managed to get around without them! Maybe one day I will remember your post Robin and think “why didn’t I get one”

As an iPhone users, I can attest to the fabulousness of the Paris apps. In particular, the Metro Paris app is the best thing since sliced pain. Better than a flat map, you can actually figure out which trains to take and where to transfer to get to your destination.
Rick Steves Paris Walk is also good, but for those who want to really get an in-depth tour of a neighborhood, check out Soundwalks. They currently have apps for the Marais, St. Germain and Belleville – which use narration by famous French actresses (including Virginie Ledoyen) and urban music to take you on a tour of the neighborhood, almost by putting you in the middle of a story. It’s very cool. (And I believe they have ones for Pigalle and Palais Royal coming out.)
