PARIS EVENING COOKING CLASS

paris evening cooking class localEnjoy a fun, informative evening cooking lesson with a charming, native Parisianne foodie in the comfort of her Paris apartment.

Before class, you’ll actually get to choose your three-course menu from a variety of options, all based on what will be fresh and in-season at her local food market at the time of your visit. Your five hour experience will begin at 6:00pm, with champagne and snacks while getting aquainted.

Then you’ll begin preparing your appetizer, main course and dessert. After your lesson, you’ll sit down to a casual, relaxing meal with her and her husband to dine on your dishes while enjoying wine.

You’ll finish the meal with a selection of delicious French cheeses. Classes are small and intimate, with no more than four guests. This one is more than a cooking class, it’s an experience, a Paris memory and a wonderful way to spend time with friendly French locals!

COST: 110€ per person [min 3] ; 90€ for children ages 9-18

PARIS GOURMET FOOD MARKET TOUR


Your guide is a local Parisienne and passionate foodie who has been shopping at her favorite food market for the past seven years.  Together, you’ll spend three hours exploring an off-the-beaten-path food market, the Marché d’Aligre.

You’ll begin your morning at a cafe just steps from the market while getting acquainted over fresh, flaky croissants and espresso or creamy cafe au lait. You’ll then discover the lively, colorful market.

Your guide will introduce you to the friendly stall keepers and bring you to wonderful gourmet shops around the market : a pâtisserie, a North African bakery, a wine cave, and shops specializing in chocolates, cheese, spices, olive oil and Alsatian treats, where you will sample the tastiest items.

Along the way, you will learn how to shop like a local, learn all about the seasonal produce and how the French prepare and enjoy them.

Finish your tour by visiting one of the most gastronomic streets in Paris to explore some of the famous restaurants and a gourmet bookstore.

PARIS TRADITIONAL CROISSANT MAKING WORKSHOP

This is a private croissant making class, in a beautiful brand new workshop space in the city center with a French speaking pastry chef. Together, the pastry chef and English-speaking foodie guide will show you how to make delicious, flaky croissants. You’ll learn to leaven the dough, roll, fold in the butter, shape and even fill authentic French croissants.  And the best part is you’ll be able to enjoy your freshly-made croissants after the lesson and take the rest home with you!

The class is 4 hours and only offered on Monday and Tuesday.  A 3 person minimum is needed to hold a class.  This class is not appropriate for children under the age of 10.
