Venice’s Piazza San Marco is one of the most famous, and most beautiful, squares in Italy. Many see it at eye level, but I was surprised to look out on a balcony while visiting the nearby Doge’s Palace to find this stunning perspective, before the crowds turned it into a sea of people.
I love the rows of perfectly placed cafe tables, the people, the pigeons and the shadow down the left side of the square.
Don’t you just love Venice?
