When you need a little quiet time from the hustle and bustle of Paris, head to Père Lachaise cemetery in the 20th arrondissment in Paris. Stroll the beautiful tree-lined tiny pathways and see where many famous literary and musical greats were put to rest. Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison, Chopin, Balzac, Proust and Rossini are just a few.
The above photo is the tomb of 17th century French playwright and actor, Molière. La Fontaine’s tomb is just behind. I love the intricate iron gate which surrounds the plot.
